Halonen Landscaping was started and is continued to be run by Ben Halonen. Ben began mowing lawns in his hometown of Calumet when he was 13 years old. Ben continued to do lawn care and odd jobs through high school and used the money to pay his way to earn a degree at Michigan Tech. Upon graduating from MTU in 2002 and getting married, he decided to make a living out of his passion for landscaping.

Throughout the last twenty years, Halonen Landscaping has employed dozens of local men and women to work in the local landscaping industry.
